The AccuDBS Collection Kit is used for obtaining DNA from dried blood samples. It is designed to secure DNA of the highest purity and concentration and enables stable sample preservation for both storage and transportation. This kit is also applicable for NGS that requires highly concentrated DNA.

User Guide

  • STEP 01

    Open the kit while holding the triangular base to avoid touching the sampling regions.

  • STEP 02

    Apply the blood sample on one side only as shown.

    ※ Apply the blood sample on one side only as shown (rectangular edges – 40 ul / square – 70 ul). The blood must completely fill the quadrilateral sampling regions and seep into both sides of the card.

  • STEP 03

    Allow to dry at room temperature for at least 2 hours.

  • STEP 04

    When completely dried, place the card inside the sterile biohazard bag and mail it out in the return envelope.

  • STEP 05

    DNA can be easily extracted without using additional tools.

CAUTION

Do not dry with artificial sources such as heater/fan/air conditioning.
Do not touch the sampling regions to avoid contamination.
Do not fold the blood spot regions.
If possible, avoid storage at temperatures above 50°C.
