AccuCombo Collection Kit

The AccuCombo Collection Kit is used for the purpose of collecting DNA in the saliva sample. This kit is designed to collect the highest quality DNA from the saliva sample and the stability of the sample is preserved for both transportation and long-term storage. Additionally, the swab in the kit enables the user to collect and extract a greater DNA volume compared to a regular saliva collection kit.

User Guide

STEP 01
Fill the collection tube with saliva up to the red line (the saliva should not contain bubbles).
STEP 02
Open the swab tube carefully making sure not to touch or contaminate the swab tip and swab the inner buccal area evenly for both cheeks 20 times.
STEP 03
Detach the funnel from the collection tube and break the swab tip into the tube.

*Discard the funnel after use.
STEP 04
Open the blue preservation buffer bottle and add the buffer to the sample.

*Discard the preservation buffer bottle after use.
STEP 05
Once the collection tube is sealed, shake the tube 10 times to mix the saliva sample and the preservation buffer.
STEP 06
Place the collection tube back into the kit and remove the protective seal on the yellow sticker underneath the front side of the kit. Make sure the kit is sealed well and mail it out to the designated laboratory for analysis.

CAUTION

1
Please refrain from brushing teeth, eating food (including water), chewing gum, smoking, and rinsing with mouthwash for 30 minutes before sampling saliva. Before sampling saliva, gently massage both cheeks by rubbing them in circles to activate the oral epithelial cells. Remove lipstick and lip stains (tints).
